Kaizer Chiefs are on the lookout for a dependable goal-scorer—someone who can step up when the team faces tough challenges.

During the recent transfer window, the club brought in Tashreeq Morris as a quick solution, but the move hasn’t delivered the expected results. Five games in, and there’s little to show for the signing.

As the offseason approaches, Chiefs will have another chance to strengthen their squad. Their latest target appears to be Young Africans’ (Yanga) striker Prince Dube. The club had been pursuing Michael Olunga and Fiston Mayele for months, but securing either player has proven difficult.

“The club is assessing realistic options for a new striker, and at this stage, Prince Dube looks like the most viable choice.

“Attempts to sign Olunga and Mayele have hit roadblocks, so the focus has shifted to Dube, who is currently performing well for Yanga.”

While Kaizer Chiefs are looking to reinforce several areas, their primary targets are a striker and a left-back, with Dube emerging as the leading candidate for the forward position.

Nabi on the Toughest African League

A long-standing debate among African football fans is which country has the most challenging league. Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi believes Morocco holds the edge over South Africa.

“The Moroccan and South African leagues are different. Even my colleague, Rhulani Mokwena, mentioned that he sees the Moroccan league as slightly tougher and more tactical,” said Nabi.

His remarks have sparked debate, especially considering his own struggles in the PSL since joining Kaizer Chiefs.
