Kaizer Chiefs have already bolstered their squad with several new signings and are reportedly eyeing more reinforcements for the upcoming transfer window.

This season, the club made a total of 10 signings, with new head coach Nasreddine Nabi receiving several additions to help strengthen the squad. Early signings included Bongani Sam, Rushwin Dortley, Fiacre Ntwari, Inacio Miguel, Gaston Sirino, Bradley Cross, and Njabulo Blom. However, after a shaky start, Chiefs added Tashreeq Morris, Glody Lilepo, and Thabo Cele during the January window to provide further support. These fresh faces have slowly begun to contribute, offering more stability in their performances.

According to Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs are now eyeing Mfundo Thikazi from Royal AM as their next target. Thikazi, a long-term target for the club, might finally make the switch, with sources suggesting his potential move could materialize at the end of the season.

Thikazi’s Contract Situation β€œChiefs have been interested in him for some time, but previous talks didn’t come to fruition,” a source told Soccer-Laduma. “However, with Royal AM’s current situation, it looks more likely that he could make the move to Chiefs soon.”

Thikazi still has one year left on his contract with Royal AM, and while there are players at the club hesitant to sign new deals, it’s believed that his move could be financially feasible for Chiefs.

β€œIf Chiefs want Thikazi, they would need to buy him, but he’s not expected to be too expensive,” the second source explained.

Adding Thikazi to Chiefs would further strengthen the attacking options at the club. Fans of Amakhosi, would you like to see the talented Royal AM forward join the ranks? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
