Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi shared an optimistic message with the clubβs supporters following their commanding 3-0 win over Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup.
The victory secured Amakhosiβs spot in the quarterfinals, with their hopes of ending a 10-year trophy drought still very much alive. However, Nabi acknowledged that thereβs more work to be done.
Despite Chiefs taking an early lead, Nabi admitted that they allowed Chippa to gain momentum toward the end of the first half. βAs we said earlier, the game wasnβt going to be easy,β Nabi remarked on SuperSport TV. βWe scored early, but in the first half, we let the opponent take control. We made adjustments in the second half, and the performance improved, leading to the win.β
Looking ahead, Nabi is confident that Chiefs will continue to improve. βStep by step, weβre going to come back. Weβll take it step by step, no pressure, we work seriously, and Kaizer Chiefs, I promise you, we will come back in the future. Not now, but soon. Step by step.β
Since his appointment, Nabi has guided Chiefs to eight victories in 18 matches. His solid start has earned him the backing of fans, and with the team’s strong form in 2025, Khosi supporters have plenty of reasons to stay hopeful.
