Despite the growing interest from the likes of Al Ahly, Barcelona, and Zamalek, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos believes Mofokeng’s time at Orlando Pirates might be coming to an end soon.
Hugo Broos shared his thoughts on Mofokeng’s future, expressing concern over the potential move: “I just hope he makes the right decisions and doesn’t end up at a club where he won’t get playing time,” Broos told iDiski Times. “I see all the rumors around him, with teams like Barcelona and Rangers, and I am a bit worried. I hope that those around him choose the best sporting option, not just the financial one.”
He continued, “His parents obviously want what’s best for him, but there’s also pressure to make money. That’s the challenge. I might be speaking too soon, but I believe that come June, Rele will no longer be at Orlando Pirates. The choice he makes will be crucial.”
