After a tough 4-1 loss to defending champions Sundowns, Orlando Pirates have shifted their focus to defending their Nedbank Cup title. While Sundowns recently faltered against TS Galaxy, the Sea Robbers remain hopeful in their pursuit of the Betway Premiership title. Currently nine points behind Sundowns with two games in hand, they still have a chance to close the gap. Up next is a Nedbank Cup Round of 16 clash at home against Baroka on Saturday, February 15, at 15:00. Following that, Pirates will return to league action against Golden Arrows on Wednesday, February 19, at 19:30.

Midfield Shift for Makhaula
Jose Riveiro has been adjusting his midfield strategy, and veteran Makhehlene Makhaula’s role has evolved. Known for his defensive capabilities, Makhaula has been playing a more offensive role recently, contributing further up the field.
