Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi Set to Face Major Absentees in Nedbank Cup Clash with Chippa

Kaizer Chiefs will be missing several key players for their Nedbank Cup Round of 16 matchup against Chippa United, including captain Yusuf Maart, who is suspended. Coach Nasreddine Nabi confirmed that Maart will be unavailable, and other players, such as Sibongiseni Mthethwa and long-term injuries, will also not feature in the game.

In addition, George Matlou is training but remains uncertain for selection, while Dillan Solomons and Edmilson Dove are still working to regain match fitness. Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez are out indefinitely.

With several key players missing, the Glamour Boys’ lineup for the match is likely to be disrupted. However, Thabo Cele has highlighted Inacio Miguel as a potential leader on the field, referring to him as “Xerife” (Sheriff) due to his consistent performances and leadership qualities.

As the season progresses, the Nedbank Cup remains a crucial opportunity for Kaizer Chiefs to secure silverware, especially given their struggles in the league.
