Kaizer Chiefs are planning significant changes to their squad in the next transfer window, with five exciting signings already identified.
Five Key Targets for Amakhosi
In a bold move, Chiefs are willing to trade players to bring in goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili, signaling how serious they are about securing his signature. Nwabili has been a target for Chiefs for the last two transfer windows, but a deal never materialized. Interestingly, Nwabili has fallen out of favor with head coach Nasreddine Nabi, as Bruce Bvuma has been preferred in goal for the Amakhosi.
In defense, Chiefs are eyeing Fawaaz Basadien and Mohammed Husseini. Basadien is a key target, but Chiefs will need to outbid rivals Orlando Pirates to secure him, especially since Stellenbosch FC is reportedly willing to let him go at the end of the season. Husseini, who was also a prime target in the past, remains a potential signing, though a deal did not come to fruition previously.

Up front, Chiefs are looking to add Clement Maize and Oswin Appollis to their attacking options. Maize, who played under Nabi at Yanga SC, is on the radar, while Appollis has been linked with both Chiefs and Pirates for months, though no progress has been made on that front yet.
Balancing the Squad: Departures and Recruitment
As Chiefs work to strengthen their squad, they must also manage departures to maintain a balanced and competitive team. For every player linked with an exit, there is a corresponding target for recruitment.
Several players are expected to leave the club, including Fiacre Ntwari, Zitha Kwinika, Reeve Frosler, Edson Castillo, and Ranga Chivaviro. Ntwari could be involved in a swap deal to bring Nwabili to Naturena, while Kwinika is set to be released at the end of the season. Frosler has drawn interest from other PSL clubs, and Castillo, who cost the club R9 million, is also set to part ways with Amakhosi. Lastly, Chivaviroβs contract is about to expire, and Chiefs are likely to let him go as well.
