Kaizer Chiefs’ interest in Fiston Mayele has been widely reported, with coach Nasreddine Nabi eager to bring his former striker from Young Africans in Tanzania to Amakhosi. After last weekend’s loss to Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby, Mayele reached out to Nabi with a message of encouragement.

On Instagram, Nabi shared his thoughts with Chiefs fans, saying, β€œAmakhosi faithful, your passion fuels us. It was a tough one yesterday, but we see the progress we’re making. The journey is long, but we’re on the right path. Thank you for your unwavering belief and the continued support from management. We will rise again.”

Mayele responded with words of optimism: β€œProfesa le Meilleur arrive InshAllah,” meaning, β€œProfessor, the best is yet to come, InshAllah.” Nabi replied warmly, saying, β€œInshAllah mon fils, merci mon grand,” which translates to, β€œInshAllah, thank you, my great son.”

Mayele has been in excellent form, scoring 9 goals in 19 games for Egypt’s Pyramids FC this season.

Akani Simbine Visits Kaizer Chiefs Village to Inspire Players

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs had the honor of hosting South Africa’s Olympic silver medalist sprinter, Akani Simbine, at their headquarters in Naturena. The athlete, who has been a Chiefs fan since childhood, expressed his excitement about visiting the club’s facilities.

Simbine shared his journey with the team, saying, β€œBecoming one of the fastest men in the world is a story of consistency, drive, and growth. I have missed out on success by the smallest margins, but it’s about going back, reflecting, and improving even by 0.1 or 0.2 percent.”

Simbine inspired the Chiefs players by encouraging them to continue working hard toward their dreams. He added, β€œAs a professional sportsman, I am inspired by your team, and I hope my story motivates you to keep pushing and making your dreams a reality.”

Kaizer Chiefs’ sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., praised Simbine for his work ethic and global achievements. Marketing director Jessica Motaung also expressed her delight in hosting Simbine, calling his visit a valuable opportunity for players to draw inspiration from his story of success. She highlighted the club’s drive to connect with athletes from different sporting codes to foster mutual growth.
