The Springboks’ injury woes continue, with another player now sidelined. Loose forward Elrigh Louw is the latest to undergo surgery, adding to the growing list of injured players.

Louw sustained an injury during the Bulls’ 35-22 win over the Lions in the United Rugby Championship. After taking a heavy hit to his right knee from Lions flanker Ruan Venter, Louw was stretchered off the field. The injury turned out to be serious, and the flanker recently underwent surgery. Fortunately, the procedure was a success, and Louw shared an update on his recovery via social media. He wrote, β€œLong and uncertain road ahead, but I WILL be back” on Instagram.

While the full extent of Louw’s injury hasn’t been publicly revealed, it’s expected that fans will receive more information as he recovers. The timeline for his return will depend on how he progresses after surgery, so updates are expected in the coming days and weeks.
