The search is underway for two lucky individuals who won a share of the Lotto jackpot worth over R10 million. The jackpot, drawn on February 12, 2025, amounted to R10,620,941, with each winner set to receive R5,310,470.50.

The fortunate tickets were purchased at two separate locations—one at Shoprite Checkers in KwaZulu-Natal and the other at Pick n’ Pay in Mpumalanga. The tickets had wager amounts of R5 and R10, respectively, and both winners manually selected their numbers, showcasing that sometimes a small bet can lead to life-changing results.

In a statement, Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza expressed her excitement about the double win, stating, “We are pleased to have not one, but two winners who dared to dream big with modest wagers and emerged victorious. Congratulations to them both.” She also reminded players to check their tickets promptly to claim any potential winnings.

The winners are encouraged to come forward to claim their prizes, with Ithuba noting that they have 365 days from the date of the draw to make a valid claim. Once claims are verified, winnings are paid out within 72 hours, and the good news is that all National Lottery winnings are tax-free.

Players who wish to check their tickets can do so at retail stores or by visiting the National Lottery website and social media pages to verify their results. As the search continues for the lucky winners, Ithuba is excited about the possibility of more South Africans hitting the jackpot.
