A deadly home invasion in the early hours of Thursday morning has left a Chatsworth community in shock, as a man was fatally shot and another critically wounded in a violent attack on Silverglen Drive, south of Durban.
Paramedics from ALS arrived at the gruesome scene to find law enforcement already in attendance. Inside the house, they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, one man, believed to be in his forties, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Paramedics were unable to save him, and he was declared dead on the scene.
A second victim, an elderly man in his sixties, was found with a severe gunshot wound to his lower body. Advanced Life Support paramedics worked urgently to stabilize him before transporting him to a nearby hospital for critical care. His condition remains a cause for concern.
