Mayibuye iAfrika deputy leader Floyd Shivambu has pledged concrete action for the community of the Amaxhosa Royal Kingdom, promising that a tar road and a fully functional borehole water scheme will be delivered before the end of the year.
Speaking in partnership with traditional leaders, Shivambu assured residents that these are not just political soundbites, but real commitments Mayibuye iAfrika intends to honour. βThese are not empty promises. Weβre working directly with traditional leadership to ensure the road is built and the borehole, along with sustainable water schemes, is delivered to the people,β he said.
The announcement has raised hopes among community members who have long struggled with poor infrastructure and unreliable water access. Shivambu emphasized that collaboration between the party and traditional structures is central to delivering lasting change on the ground.
With the year-end deadline set, attention now turns to implementation, as communities await the long-promised transformation.
