Controversial legal figure Advocate Malesela Teffo has broken his silence, claiming senior political leaders Julius Malema, Police Minister Bheki Cele, and Justice Minister Ronald Lamola made his life “a living hell” during his time in prison.
Speaking out after his release, Teffo alleged that his incarceration was not just punitive, but politically motivated. βMy rights were trampled on. Malema, Cele, and Lamola used the system to silence me. They made my life unbearable behind bars,β he said.
Teffo, who has made headlines in high-profile and often contentious legal battles, did not provide specific details about the alleged mistreatment but insisted that his imprisonment was orchestrated by those in power to destroy his credibility and career.
His claims have ignited fresh debate about the intersection of politics and the justice system in South Africa. Neither Malema, Cele, nor Lamola have publicly responded to the allegations yet.
As public interest grows and pressure mounts for clarity, Teffo has vowed to continue speaking out, suggesting this is just the beginning of a much deeper political storm.
