Police Urgently Searching for Kidnapped Teen Kamogelo Baukudi in Bloemfontein
The South African Police Service has launched an urgent nationwide search for 19-year-old Kamogelo Baukudi, who was kidnapped on Thursday, 5 June 2025, near Marti Du Plessis School in Bloemfontein.
Kamogelo was reportedly abducted by two men posing as police officers, who were driving a white Toyota Hilux equipped with blue emergency lights.
Deceptive Abduction by Fake Police Officers
The suspects allegedly approached Kamogelo and his companion, Daniel Malebatso, claiming to be conducting a drug investigation. They separated the teens under false pretenses and drove off with Kamogeloβwho has not been seen since.
Police have since opened a case of:
- Kidnapping
- Impersonating a police officer

Authorities are urging the public to report any sightings of the vehicle or information about Kamogelo’s whereabouts immediately.
