EASTERN CAPE β Police have confirmed the arrest of three students at Walter Sisulu University (WSU) following the eruption of fresh protests on campus.
The unrest comes after residence manager Manelisi Mampane, accused of murdering student Sisonke Mbolekwa, was granted R10 000 bail on Tuesday.

The protests, led by outraged students, form part of the ongoing #JusticeForSisonke movement. Demonstrators argue that bail was unjustly granted and say it sends the wrong message about student safety and accountability.
Chants, placards, and road barricades were seen across parts of the campus. Law enforcement responded swiftly, leading to three student arrests on charges including public violence and obstruction.
