🚨 Breaking News: Three Missing Police Constables Found Dead in Hennops River Tragedy

Centurion, Gauteng – A grim chapter has unfolded in South Africa’s ongoing search for three missing police officers. Authorities have officially confirmed that three of the five bodies recovered from the Hennops River, near the N1 highway in Centurion, are those of the missing police constables who vanished last week.

The discovery was made during a coordinated search operation by SAPS’s search and rescue teams. The deceased officers have been identified as Constables Cebekhulu Linda (24), Keamogetswe Buys (30), and Boipelo Senoge (20) β€” young, dedicated officers who disappeared on April 23 while traveling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo.

The trio was last seen refueling at a service station near the Grasmere toll plaza. Their disappearance prompted a widespread manhunt and the issuing of a R350,000 reward for information.

Of the remaining two bodies found in the river, one is confirmed to be a female, while both are still awaiting official identification pending forensic analysis.

National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola confirmed the tragic news and vowed a full investigation into what he called a “devastating loss” for the police service.

β€œWe are heartbroken to confirm that three of the bodies are those of our missing officers. We will not rest until justice is served,” Masemola stated.

The cause of death has not yet been publicly disclosed, and investigations are underway into potential foul play, including hijacking and kidnapping.
