MK Party MP Mzwanele Manyi delivered a fierce attack on President Cyril Ramaphosa in Parliament, sharply questioning his credibility to lead the fight against corruption within the ANC.

Referencing Ramaphosa’s own past admission that the ANC is β€œaccused number one in corruption,” Manyi argued the silence from within the party confirms the statement as undeniable truth. β€œIf no one in the ANC disputed it, then we must accept it as fact,” he declared.

Manyi pressed further, challenging how a leader of what he called β€œa corrupt institution” could credibly oversee judicial processes meant to root out corruption. His comments underscored deep skepticism about the ANC’s internal willingness or ability to police itself.

He also reignited scrutiny around the unresolved Phala Phala scandal, calling on Parliament to step up and address what he described as β€œrogueness at all levels.” Manyi warned that the crisis of accountability is worsening and that the legislature must act decisively.

The MP’s fiery remarks signal mounting pressure on Ramaphosa’s presidency as South Africa grapples with corruption allegations that threaten both political stability and public trust.
