Public Urged to Help Locate Sibusiso Aserie Ndlovu and Zodwa Precious Mdhluli

Gauteng, May 5, 2025 β A desperate search for missing journalist Sibusiso Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Precious Mdhluli has taken a critical turn, as the reward for credible information has been doubled to R100,000. The announcement, made jointly by the National Press Club (NPC) and the African Media and Communicators Forum (AMCF) on May 4, 2025, reflects mounting urgency and concern for the coupleβs safety.
The pair vanished on February 18, 2025, with their last known whereabouts traced to Gauteng. Despite continued investigations by the South African Police Service (SAPS), no solid leads have emerged, raising fears over possible foul play.
Ndlovu, a respected and seasoned journalist known for fearless reporting, has become a symbol in the fight for press freedom and journalist protection. The AMCF and NPC have intensified calls for public cooperation, hoping the R100,000 incentive will prompt anyone with knowledge of the coupleβs disappearance to come forward.
βThe safety of journalists is non-negotiable. We need the publicβs helpβsomeone, somewhere, knows something,β said an NPC spokesperson.
The public is encouraged to contact SAPS or either organization directly with any tipsβanonymity guaranteed. Authorities and civil society stress that every detail, no matter how small, could be vital in unraveling this unsettling mystery.
