Former National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula made a brief but visibly emotional court appearance today, as her high-profile corruption and money laundering case was postponed to 21 November 2025.
Mapisa-Nqakula faces 12 counts of corruption and one charge of money laundering, stemming from allegations that she received kickbacks from a defence contractor during her time as South Africa’s Minister of Defence.
