The long-awaited murder trial of South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was postponed to June 12, 2025, following a brief appearance in the Durban High Court earlier today.
The two were tragically gunned down outside a popular restaurant in Durban on February 10, 2023—a killing that sent shockwaves across South Africa and the global music community.
Seven accused individuals, linked to the coordinated attack, appeared in court under tight security. The court confirmed that all seven accused will be represented by a single legal counsel, Advocate Cyril Mlotshwa, a decision that could shape the strategy and speed of proceedings moving forward.
