Residents of Lower Crossroads in Philippi, Cape Town, are in shock after two young girls were tragically found dead in a shack on the morning of 15 February. The incident occurred in Bompasi Street, Island, where four girls had reportedly gone out for a night of fun at a nearby tavern. After the tavern closed, the girls were allegedly invited to a nearby shack by some young boys who claimed to have alcohol.
According to a local resident, two of the girls accepted the offer and drank the alcohol provided by the boys, while the other two declined. The two who drank became unwell and were taken to a bed to rest, while the other two left. However, when the two girls were found the next morning, they were discovered unresponsive and in a distressed state. Their bodies showed signs of injury, leading authorities to suspect foul play.
