Ivory Park SAPS is urging community members to come forward and help identify the deceased individual.

A man, believed to be of African descent, was found with a gunshot wound in Clayville Ext 77 on the evening of October 12. His body was discovered at the scene, but despite ongoing efforts, no family members have come forward to claim him.

The deceased was taken to Germiston Mortuary, where his body remains unclaimed. Authorities have already conducted a fingerprint analysis in an attempt to identify the individual, sending the prints to the Department of Home Affairs. Unfortunately, no identification results have been received thus far.

Detective Sergeant Mpho Lithole of the Ivory Park SAPS, who is leading the investigation, is urging anyone with information about the identity of the deceased to come forward. The police are keen to resolve the case and provide closure to the man’s family. Members of the public with relevant information can contact Detective Sergeant Lithole directly at 065 981 9219.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, and the public’s assistance is crucial in bringing clarity to this tragic case.
