Anti-corruption watchdog Forensics for Justice has issued a firm warning, urging the immediate suspension of implicated government officials under investigation for alleged misconduct. The organisation argues that allowing these individuals to remain in their positions creates the risk of evidence tampering and continued criminal behaviour.
“If the officials are not suspended from their duties, they have the opportunity to not only cover their tracks, but also continue to commit further crimes,” Forensics for Justice said in a statement.
