Sibongiseni “Keys” Mkhize, a talented producer from Ukhozi FM, has earned a spot on the Forty Under 40 Africa Awards shortlist in the music and entertainment category. The 33-year-old, who hails from Mariannhill near Durban, is being recognized for his work through his company, Finally Famous Entertainment. The prestigious awards ceremony will take place in Cairo, Egypt, from 19 to 22 February 2025, celebrating Africa’s most influential young business leaders.
Before joining Ukhozi FM in 2024, Keys made a significant impact at Gagasi FM, where he spent nine years bridging the gap between South Africa’s music scene and the international stage. He secured interviews with major global artists such as rapper T.I., Rick Ross, and Kenny Lattimore. With his growing influence, Keys has continually sought opportunities to expand his knowledge, including a 2024 trip to New York City to learn from the behind-the-scenes production of popular TV and radio shows like The View and The Breakfast Club.
For Keys, this nomination isnβt just about personal success but also about showcasing the immense potential of South Africa’s youth. “This recognition is not just for me; itβs for the talented young people of Mzansi,” he said. As he heads to Cairo, he hopes to represent Mzansi on the global stage, furthering his mission to bring South African talent to the world.
