Tsekeleke, the popular dancer and viral TikTok sensation, has accused his manager, Dr Malinga, of exploiting him after the musician allegedly pocketed R100,000 intended for Tsekeleke. According to Tsekeleke, a well-wisher offered the donation to help him, but instead of receiving the funds, he claims Malinga took the money and only provided him with new furniture, including a king-size bed. Tsekeleke expressed his dissatisfaction, particularly about the lack of transparency in how the donation was used.
In a video posted to Facebook, Dr Malinga defended his actions, explaining that the R100,000 was used to refurbish Tsekeleke’s home, and he also gave R10,000 each to Tsekeleke, his girlfriend, and his mother. However, Tsekeleke insists that the money was never properly accounted for, and he feels taken advantage of, especially given that his family was upset with the arrangement. He claims that the situation has caused significant strain, and his trust in Malinga has been broken.
Tsekeleke also criticized the low pay he receives for his gigs, alleging that he is only paid R2,000 per performance. He pointed out that despite his rising popularity, he is not being fairly compensated, adding to his frustrations with his current management. The dancer revealed that, if things do not improve, he may be forced to part ways with Dr Malinga and return to street performances.
The ongoing feud between the two has left many fans questioning the nature of their partnership. While Dr Malinga insists that he had good intentions, Tsekeleke has made it clear that he needs a new manager who will treat him fairly and transparently.
