It was meant to be a day of love and celebration—an intimate wedding in Krugersdorp where the sun shone brightly, and guests arrived in their finest traditional regalia to witness the union of Masechaba Ndlovu, the esteemed news anchor, and Ntethelelo Faku Mposwa, a talented music producer and singer. But as the vows were about to be exchanged, chaos erupted when a power outage plunged the ceremony into darkness, setting the stage for an unexpected interruption.

What was initially an innocent technical glitch turned into an unforgettable moment when a drunken figure staggered into the venue, seemingly intent on wreaking havoc. The stranger, whose identity remained unclear to most, dramatically invoked the phrase, “speak now or forever hold your peace,” taking it more literally than anyone could have anticipated. A guest at the wedding recalled, “Things just started going wrong from there. The moment the lights went out, it felt like something was about to go down.” And go down it did.

According to the guest, the man, intoxicated and disheveled, stood up and demanded the wedding stop. “He knew both Masechaba and Faku by name, so it was clear he was someone familiar to the couple,” the source said. Guests were left in confusion, wondering who this unruly figure was and what could have caused him to interrupt such a special day.

It soon emerged that the drunken intruder was none other than a close relative from the groom’s side of the family. A confidante of the couple explained that he was “a drunk uncle who had too much to drink.” While the situation was chaotic in the moment, they were now able to laugh about it. “People initially thought he was an ex-lover or maybe an ex-husband, but it was just a messy family moment,” the insider added with a chuckle.

This wedding marked Masechaba’s third union, following her previous marriages to businessmen Mfundo Ntsibande and Vusi Ndlovu. Despite the dramatic start, the bride was resolute in her joy, speaking of the deep bond she shares with Ntethelelo. “We met in 2022 and invited God into our relationship. He has been our rock,” she reflected. “There have been challenges, but through prayer and love, we’ve made it through the storms together. Now, as we begin this new chapter, we trust God to continue guiding us, knowing He has blessed this marriage.”

The chaotic interruption did little to dampen the couple’s spirits, as they were able to proceed with their celebration. In the end, the day belonged to them—no matter the interruptions. It’s a story of love, laughter, and yes, even a little family drama, as the couple looks ahead to their new life together, undeterred by the past or any drunken uncles.
