The singer, who is close friends with Chris Brown, was pelted with bottles and other projectiles while performing, as she took the stage before the completion of Gatsheni’s set. Fans, upset by the premature performance, threw missiles at her, forcing Naledi to continue singing amid the chaos until she was escorted to safety by a backstage staff member.
In a statement released later, Naledi expressed her remorse, acknowledging the disruption her actions caused. “I understand the importance of the opportunity, and I truly appreciate the support that has been extended to me,” she said. She also extended a heartfelt apology to Gatsheni and his team, explaining that she never intended to disrespect the respected Maskandi artist or his audience.
