Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has honored South African football legend Benni McCarthy with a heartfelt tribute, praising his lasting impact on South African sport. McCarthy, who visited the Springboks in Scotland this weekend, was celebrated by Kolisi for his trailblazing career and inspirational legacy.

McCarthy rose to prominence as a prolific goal-scorer at Seven Stars before moving to Europe, where he played for top clubs such as FC Porto, Ajax Amsterdam, and Celta Vigo. He remains South Africa’s all-time top scorer and represented the national team in two World Cups, cementing his status as a national hero.
