Kelly Khumalo Announces Graduation as Inyanga in Celebratory Broadcast

Kelly Khumalo has stunned both her fans and critics with a bold announcement on Ukhozi FM on November 11, the day of her 40th birthday. The celebrated musician shared that after 15 years of training, she has officially graduated as an inyanga (traditional healer). This milestone comes after multiple rounds of training in various healing practices, including exposure to nature, water, and prayer.

In her heartfelt broadcast, Kelly revealed that the journey to becoming an inyanga has not been easy, but it has profoundly changed her. β€œToday, as I’m celebrating my birthday, I’m also graduating as inyanga,” she explained. She emphasized that her approach to healing is not limited to the black community, but is a universal gift meant to benefit people around the world. β€œIt’s not just about traditional healing, it’s about a gift that transcends cultures,” she said, describing her path as one of personal transformation.

While the announcement comes at a time when her life is under intense media scrutiny due to the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, Kelly remained focused on her achievements. Despite being approached for further comment by the media, she chose to keep her focus on her personal growth, stating, “After 15 years of searching, today I’m finally graduating.”

In addition to her new role as an inyanga, Kelly is preparing to celebrate 20 years in the music industry with a special project titled 20 Years of Kelly Khumalo, which is set to be released in 2025. This project, along with her recent graduation, marks a period of reflection and renewal, signaling a new chapter in her multifaceted career.
