The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has issued a firm warning to its members following the circulation of a viral video showing a female officer undressing while in uniform.
In an official statement, the SANDF reminded all personnel that wearing the national military uniform comes with a duty to uphold discipline, dignity, and professionalism—whether in public or online.
The video, which has sparked widespread reaction across social media platforms, was condemned by the military leadership as a serious breach of conduct, emphasizing that soldiers are strictly prohibited from making or sharing inappropriate content while in uniform.
“The uniform represents the nation and its values. Any misconduct while wearing it will not be tolerated,” the SANDF warned, adding that further disciplinary action may follow if violations continue.
