The high-profile murder case involving the brutal killing of amapiano star DJ Sumbody and his bodyguards has been postponed to 29 July 2025 at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court. The delay comes as accused number 4 prepares to apply for bail, prompting the court to align both the bail proceedings and the main case timeline.

All four accused, including alleged mastermind Katiso β€œKT” Molefe, remain in custody. The postponement ensures that no legal steps are skipped as the complex case continues to unfold.

In response to the intense public and media interest, the court granted the state’s request to bar live streaming of the proceedings, citing the sensitive and high-profile nature of the matter. The move aims to protect the integrity of the case while maintaining courtroom order.

As the legal battle plays out, the public’s demand for justice remains strong. DJ Sumbody, whose real name was Oupa Sefoka, was gunned down in November 2022 in a targeted attack that shocked South Africa’s music industry.
