Advocate Malesela Teffo has dropped another bombshellβ€”alleging that he was offered a staggering R45 million to withdraw from the high-profile Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.

Speaking in a recent interview, Teffo claimed that powerful figures attempted to pay him off to walk away from the case, which has gripped the nation since the former Bafana Bafana captain was gunned down in 2014. β€œI was approached and offered R45 million to abandon the case,” Teffo said. β€œThey didn’t want the truth to come out.”

This explosive revelation adds yet another layer of intrigue to a trial already marked by controversy, conspiracy theories, and questions about who is truly responsible for Meyiwa’s death. Teffo, who was previously representing some of the accused, has been a vocal and often polarising figure in the courtroom, known for his confrontational style and public allegations of a cover-up.

The claim, if true, would suggest deep-rooted efforts to derail justice in one of South Africa’s most watched murder trials. Authorities have not yet responded to Teffo’s latest accusation, but pressure is mounting for an independent investigation into both the alleged bribery attempt and broader interference in the case.

As the public demands answers and the case continues to unfold, the integrity of South Africa’s justice system is once again under intense scrutiny.
