A chilling murder case has rocked the Botshabelo community in the Mangaung Metro, where police have launched an urgent manhunt for Lefu βMozokwaneβ Phosholi. He is wanted for questioning following the gruesome discovery of his 79-year-old fatherβs body buried inside their home.
The victim, Sekoati John Phosholi, had been missing for an extended period before his remains were unearthed on Saturday, 12 July, at the familyβs residence in G-Section. According to Free State police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Covane, the elderly man was last seen alive in the company of his son, now the prime person of interest.
Authorities are now appealing to the public for assistance in locating Lefu Phosholi. Anyone with information is urged to contact Lieutenant Colonel Ramatsa at 082 040 8161, Colonel Modiakgotla at 083 533 6301, or Colonel Mokhobo at 082 784 4505. Tip-offs can also be submitted anonymously via the MySAPS App or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
The investigation is ongoing as police work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the brutal crime.
