After more than 100 days of relentless effort to keep Mahikeng spotless, the Rellow Foundation has finally earned a game-changing boost — official financial support from the North West provincial government. Recognized for its dynamic mobilization of local youth and volunteers sweeping the city’s streets and public spaces, the Foundation received a contract stipend from MEC Bitsa Lenkopane to sustain its operations from June 1, 2025, through March 2026.
This milestone funding will empower the Foundation to elevate its impact, expanding their reach to major hubs like Mahikeng Mall, The Crossing, and Mega City Mall. “This recognition motivates us to continue delivering excellent work and collaborate in fighting food-borne diseases in operational areas,” the Foundation shared in a statement, underscoring their commitment to public health alongside cleanliness.
While the contract secures operational continuity, the Rellow Foundation is calling for logistical support—especially transport—to effectively shuttle teams between multiple high-traffic zones. Their long-term vision remains crystal clear: to sustain a clean, hygienic Mahikeng for all residents and visitors.
