As internal disputes within the MK Party continue to escalate, Deputy President John Hlophe has detailed a dramatic moment involving Duduzile Zuma in a recent caucus meeting β€” underscoring the deepening fractures within the party’s leadership.

β€œShe noisily rose from her seat, grabbed her belongings, and exclaimed, β€˜Are we not done?’ before sitting down when she realised no-one had followed her,” Hlophe wrote in a letter addressed to party president Jacob Zuma. The remark, quoted directly by Hlophe, paints a picture of mounting frustration and tension behind closed doors, as the party grapples with internal discord.

The incident forms part of a broader complaint by Hlophe, who has raised concerns about conduct, discipline, and leadership challenges within the party’s parliamentary structures. His letter, which also targets party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela, signals growing discontent in MK ranks just months after entering Parliament.

Neither Duduzile Zuma nor the party leadership has publicly responded to Hlophe’s claims, but the rift appears to be widening β€” placing pressure on Jacob Zuma to intervene in a party still finding its footing in South Africa’s shifting political landscape.
