Police Offer R60,000 Reward for Arrest of Murder Suspect in Killing of IFP Deputy Chief Whip

Gauteng police have issued a R60,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Zamani Ngila Ximba, the man wanted in connection with the murder of Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) Deputy Chief Whip, Mr Khethamabala Sithole.

Sithole was fatally shot on 31 May 2025 at Buyafuthi Hostel in Katlehong, in an attack that also left two others wounded. Police are investigating the case as one of murder and attempted murder.

Armed and Dangerous

Ximba is described as tall and dark in complexion, and is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Authorities have urged the public not to confront him but to report any sightings immediately.
