Two women, aged 25 and 26, are set to appear in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on June 9, 2025, facing charges of murder and attempted murder following a horrific assault in Sakhile, Gauteng on June 6.
According to police reports, the two women confronted a 35-year-old woman and her male companion, accusing the woman of stealing R1000. The confrontation escalated violently, and both victims were taken to a nearby shack, where they were brutally assaulted with an electric cable, shovel, and knife.
The 35-year-old woman tragically succumbed to her injuries, while the man is currently in critical but stable condition in the hospital. Authorities arrested the two women at a local clinic, where they were found seeking medical attention.
