A woman identified as Cikwazi Manzini, believed to be in her late 30s, has been found in Bloemfontein after a journey that has left more questions than answers. She is currently under the care of authorities at Heidedal Police Station, who are appealing to the public to help reunite her with her family.
Cikwazi reportedly hitchhiked from her home in Khayemnandi, Despatch (Eastern Cape) on 2 June 2025. She arrived in Bloemfontein sometime midweek, where she spent time at Pelonomi Hospital before being taken to the police station on 6 June.
According to her statements, Cikwazi once lived with her mother, Landiwe, and sister, Anelisa. She was trying to make her way to Jeppestown in Gauteng, where she last saw her partner, Ocean Sibanda, and their two children in 2019. She appears to suffer from a mental illness and cannot confirm her exact age, which has made tracing her background difficult.
Police are now urging anyone who may know her or her relatives—whether in Khayemnandi, Jeppestown, or beyond—to come forward. If you have any information that could help reunite Cikwazi with her family, please contact Heidedal Police Station or reach out to Crime Stop immediately.
Your assistance could help bring a mother, sister, or daughter back to those who may still be searching for her.
