Johannesburg, South Africa β€” Popular South African television channel Moja Love has come out strongly against media personality MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho, condemning his recent remarks about actress and television host Minnie Dlamini.

The backlash follows a controversial episode of MacG’s Podcast and Chill, where comments made about Dlamini’s personal life were deemed inappropriate, offensive, and disrespectful. Moja Love released a statement distancing itself from MacG’s views, emphasizing that such remarks go against the values of dignity and respect the channel upholds.

β€œMoja Love does not support or condone any form of public discourse that degrades or humiliates individuals β€” especially women in the public eye,” the channel stated. β€œWe urge all media personalities to use their platforms responsibly and with empathy.”

MacG, who is known for pushing boundaries with his unfiltered podcast style, has faced previous criticism over controversial statements. However, the latest remarks have reignited debate over accountability in digital media spaces, especially regarding how women are discussed in public forums.

Minnie Dlamini has not issued a public response at the time of writing, but supporters and fellow celebrities have rallied around her, calling for greater respect and sensitivity in public commentary.

The incident has sparked a broader conversation about misogyny in media, freedom of speech, and the fine line between candid entertainment and harmful rhetoric.
