Tragic Loss: Ukhozi FM Contributor Zamaweza “Zuluglamour” Mthalane Dies from Meningitis

The family of Ukhozi FM contributor Zamaweza “Zuluglamour” Mthalane, aged 35, has confirmed with deep sorrow that the talented radio presenter passed away on Sunday at Dr. Pixley KaSeme Memorial Hospital. The bubbly personality, known for her work on Sigiya Ngengoma, succumbed to meningitis after a brief but severe illness.

According to her brother, Zamaweza had been battling with intense headaches for several weeks before her hospitalization. Despite taking painkillers, the pain persisted, prompting her to seek medical attention. After undergoing scans, doctors discovered that she had contracted meningitis. Tragically, she passed away in the afternoon, leaving friends, family, and listeners heartbroken.

Close friends of Zuluglamour fondly remember her as a talented and passionate individual with a bright future ahead. “She had a bright future ahead of her; she worked hard and was passionate about her craft,” said Zama Ntuli, a close friend. “We will miss her daily. She was kind and had so much potential.”

Zuluglamour had recently joined Ukhozi FM in 2024 after finding success with her podcast, where she quickly became known for her engaging and lively personality. Her untimely death has left a void in the hearts of her colleagues and fans, who remember her not only for her talent but also for her warmth and dedication to her work.
