Gauteng police are urgently searching for missing journalist Sibusiso Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli, who were last seen on February 18, 2025. Ndlovu, a well-known journalist, was reported missing in Mamelodi after leaving his workplace at approximately 18:00 on that day.
Police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed the disappearance and urged anyone with information to contact Sergeant Lekganyane at 082 768 6433 or the nearest police station.
In an emotional plea, family representative Vusi Mahlasela called on the public, including churches and the Department of Arts and Culture, to assist in the search for the couple. Mahlasela encouraged everyone to remain hopeful and positive, stating, “Have positive prayers, more so that the couple can come back home safely.”
Mahlasela emphasized the importance of maintaining faith and not speaking of the couple in the past tense. He urged for collective support, saying, “All the family is asking for is help from all sides, all corners.”
The search for Ndlovu and Mdhluli continues, with police and family members working together to bring the couple home safely.
