Longwe Twala, the troubled son of legendary musician Sello “Chicco” Twala, made a brief appearance in court this week for his ongoing theft case. The former child star faces charges of allegedly breaking into his father’s home and stealing studio equipment and other valuables worth over R200,000. Despite his court appearance, his trial has been postponed again, this time to February 17, 2025, to allow his lawyer more time to prepare.

The theft case has been filled with delays and uncertainty. After being arrested in 2024, Longwe’s case has faced several postponements, leading many to wonder what new developments will unfold as the trial continues. The postponement this week came after Longwe was reportedly missing for a period, adding to the drama surrounding his legal situation.

Currently, Longwe Twala remains under strict house arrest, which limits his movements between 6 PM and 6 AM. The court has imposed several conditions, including a ban on drug and alcohol use, and he is prohibited from visiting his father’s home or workplace until the trial is resolved. The 2024 incident and the ongoing legal battles have cast a shadow over Longwe’s life, with his father reportedly hoping for a firmer approach to keep him in check.

As part of his house arrest, Longwe is required to undergo random drug and alcohol testing, and he must avoid contact with witnesses. The outcome of this case remains uncertain, and as the trial moves forward, it is unclear whether Longwe will face additional charges or if the situation will continue to develop in unexpected ways.
