Reverend Kenneth Meshoe’s Daughter, Olga, to Be Laid to Rest in Israel

Olga Meshoe-Washington, the late daughter of African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) president Reverend Kenneth Meshoe, will be laid to rest in Israel. Olga, who passed away on 6 January 2025 after battling lupus, will be buried on 22 January at the Tel Regev Cemetery in Rekhasim, Jerusalem. The decision to bury her in Israel was made in accordance with the wishes of her husband, Joshua David Washington, who expressed that Olga should be laid to rest among the patriarchs and warriors of Zion.

Joshua Washington, along with the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel (IBSI), has expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of condolences following Olga’s passing. Dumisani Washington, the CEO and founder of IBSI, shared the news on Facebook, thanking all those who supported the family during this difficult time. He also confirmed that the burial in Israel was part of a carefully coordinated process, honoring Olga’s life and her contributions to the organization.

For those in South Africa who cannot attend the burial, a memorial service will be held on 26 January at the Hope of Glory Tabernacle in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni. The service will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and church members to pay their respects and celebrate Olga’s life. A further memorial service will take place in the United States on 13 March at the Antioch International Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Olga’s passing has deeply impacted her family, friends, and the wider community, and her legacy will continue to be honored across multiple countries. As her final resting place is set in Israel, tributes are flowing from all corners, reflecting the wide-reaching influence she had in both her personal and professional life.
