AFDA, South Africa’s leading school for the Creative Economy, is looking for a passionate and energetic Social Media Associate to join our dynamic Marketing Department. This role offers the chance to work closely with our social media specialist and graphic designer to maintain AFDA’s brand presence across online and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and curate engaging content for social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Assist in creating visual assets for social media, marketing materials, and website graphics.
- Ensure all posts are aligned with AFDA’s brand aesthetics.
- Manage responses to comments, messages, and online reviews, maintaining a high response rate.
- Capture and create content for AFDA events, engaging with attendees to build stories.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting on social media statistics.
What You’ll Need:
- Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation, and online advertising.
- A creative mindset with basic graphic design knowledge (Photoshop and InDesign).
- Strong communication and customer relations skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- A passion for the AFDA brand, with a willingness to embody the values of integrity, self-discipline, reliability, and humility.
Qualifications:
- Relevant undergraduate degree or higher certificate, preferably from AFDA.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in social media marketing.
- AFDA alumni will be given preference.
