About the Bursary Programme:
The Peermont Education Trust is offering bursaries for the 2025 academic year to students living in the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area (Gauteng). The bursary is open for undergraduate studies in any field at a Gauteng-based tertiary institution (except Medicine). This programme is a core part of Peermont’s mission to uplift the community by providing financial support to deserving youth, helping them overcome financial barriers and achieve their educational and career goals.
What the Bursary Covers:
The bursary will cover:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Prescribed books and study materials
- Accommodation
Eligibility Requirements:
- South African citizen
- Reside in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng
- Studying or intending to study full-time for an undergraduate qualification (excluding Medicine)
- Accepted to study at an accredited tertiary institution in Gauteng
- Your study programme must be at least one year in duration
Selection Criteria:
- Academic excellence
- Financial need (based on combined annual household income)
- The bursary is renewable annually based on academic performance
How to Apply:
- Download and complete the Peermont Education Trust Bursary Application Form 2025.
- Submit the completed form along with the following supporting documents (compulsory):
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Grade 11 results and Matric June 2024 report (for current Matric students)
- Matric/NSC results (for those who have completed Matric)
- Full academic record (for current students)
- Proof of residence in Ekurhuleni (utility bill)
- Parents/guardians proof of income (salary slips, affidavit if unemployed, or death certificates if deceased)
