What You’ll Do:
In this pivotal position, you’ll be the mastermind behind our predictive and prescriptive models. Your responsibilities will include:
- Model Mastery: Maintain and recalibrate our existing machine learning models while unleashing your creativity to develop and deploy new ones.
- Data Detective: Dive deep into the data pool, using advanced analytics and mining techniques to ensure data validity, usability, and integrity.
- Insight Innovator: Identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies that can unlock new business opportunities. You’ll be the go-to person for communicating insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Future Forecaster: Predict and forecast business outcomes, providing critical insights to help shape our strategic direction.
- Operational Optimizer: Analyze key operational factors to transform, eliminate, or introduce elements that enhance business performance.
- Tech Explorer: Apply various supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to solve intriguing problems across diverse business landscapes.
What You Bring:
- Experience: At least four years of hands-on experience in data science or a related field.
- Education: An Honours degree in a mathematical, statistical, or actuarial discipline.
- Skills: Proficiency in Python is a must! Familiarity with SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, and Enterprise Miner) is a fantastic bonus. Strong Excel skills are also essential.
- Analytical Mindset: You have a knack for identifying trends and deriving insights from complex datasets.
