Wandile Duba opened the scoring for Chiefs in the 21st minute, capitalizing on a precise cross from Yusuf Maart. The Soweto giants faced a setback early in the second half when Reeve Frosler was sent off for a second yellow card just three minutes after the restart. Despite being reduced to 10 men, Chiefs displayed resilience and extended their lead in the 68th minute. Ashley Du Preez finished expertly after another sublime assist from Maart.
Richards Bay managed to pull one back through Yanela Mbuthuma, but it wasn’t enough to deny Chiefs the three points. The victory brings renewed confidence for Nasreddine Nabi’s side as they aim to climb further up the league standings.
