Samir Nurković Thrilled to Reunite with Gavin Hunt at SuperSport United

SuperSport United’s new striker, Samir Nurković, has expressed excitement about joining the Tshwane-based club and is thrilled to reunite with coach Gavin Hunt, whom he considers one of the best in South African football. Nurković, 32, signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Matsatsantsa after departing from TS Galaxy. The Serbian forward previously worked under Hunt during their time at Kaizer Chiefs in the 2020/21 season and is eager to rekindle their successful partnership.

Reflecting on his new opportunity, Nurković shared his enthusiasm about working with Hunt again. “I’m optimistic and excited to reunite with Coach Gavin Hunt. His leadership and ability to bring out the best in players are qualities I deeply admire,” he said. During his time at Chiefs, Nurković impressed with 21 goals and 10 assists in 78 matches. He is determined to replicate that form and contribute to SuperSport United’s ambitions on the pitch.

Nurković also expressed gratitude to the club’s passionate supporters. “I’m honored to join this fantastic club and look forward to connecting with my teammates and embracing the energy of the fans. I promise to give my all on the field to help the team achieve success,” he said. The striker’s arrival is seen as a boost for SuperSport United as they aim to strengthen their attacking options and compete at the highest level.
