Polokwane City has made it clear that they intend to keep hold of their key players, Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi, amid interest from Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns during the upcoming PSL January transfer window.
Club official Phuti Mohafe confirmed the team’s position, expressing his satisfaction with the current squad. “I’m more than happy to still have them in the team because they are the core, and they are the most important players for us, even though there is interest from bigger clubs,” Mohafe told the media, as reported by iDiski Times.
He further emphasized that it’s a positive situation for Polokwane City to retain the pair, despite the transfer speculation. “It’s a blessing in disguise for Polokwane City to still have them. As for how long they will stay with us, that’s uncertain. I just hope they remain with us for at least another season,” Mohafe added.
Polokwane City’s stance shows their commitment to keeping their star players, at least for the time being, as they aim to maintain their competitive edge in the league
