Despite the setback, Appollis maintained a positive outlook, understanding that his performances on the field were crucial to keeping his spot in the national team.
Though he has yet to score for Polokwane City this season, Appollis has continued to show consistency in his performances, which has helped him retain his place in Bafana Bafana. He has started every match in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, contributing two goals and three assists, helping South Africa top Group K.
